The carving of Glass is a Art that has been arround for hundreds of years.  The method used to carv glass has changed quite a bit but the ultimate results and beauty has not.  The method of carving all of the glass here is sand blasting.  Sandblasting gives the artist the flexibility of design and depth of the carving in the glass.
